The kids spent some time in the hot tub today. They had lots of fun. We worked outside for family home evening. I spent about an hour and a half and got 3 of my cages done. I only have nine more to do. The sad thing is that I had already cut the chicken before I didn't have to take the time to do that today. The plants sure do a lot better when they're protected from the deer. Everybody says the best thing to do is get a dog and a fence. A dog? I'm still not ready for that - maybe someday. A fence? Too much money right now. Our GRASS is FINALLY GROWING though. It's looking pretty good and it's nice and soft to sit on. YEAH!
Last night we went on a family walk adn talked about the talks in Sacrament meeting. We had some good discussion with the kids. The kids all talked about when they felt the spirit in their lives. Let's see if I can remember this:
- Jonny: Doing baptisms for the dead in the temple
- Maren: During the Primary Sacrament meeting programs and in the celestial room of the Twin Falls temple
- Anna: When she was baptized and in the Twin Falls Temple
- Brian: When he was baptized
- Scotty: "I have a question. . .What happend to our body when we die and we're in heaven?"
- Emily: "kitty"
We talked about the different ways we feel the spirit in our lives: feelings, stupor of thought, impressions, whisperings, etc. We talked about different times when we have felt those feelings like when Ken was deciding what kind of doctor to be (in the temple- "the answer is in your patriarchal blessing"), finding the keys, etc. I'm always impressed with chidlren today and their depth of understanding of the gospel.
